Forest Road 46 open from Detroit to Estacada

Forest Service Road (FSR) 46, also known as the Clackamas-Breitenbush Scenic Byway, reopened to motorized vehicles June 27, 2023; visitors are now able to drive from Detroit to Estacada. Although open, FSR 46 will have periodic delays in fall 2023 to remove the remaining fire impacted trees and to complete the final road repair and reconstruction. The Forest Service will provide public notice of any delay or closure on FR 46 two weeks in advance. The work is estimated to go through 2024.
