The Cherokee National Forest spans more than 650,000 acres in Eastern Tennessee. It is divided into the South and North Zone, with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in the middle. The South Zone is divided into three administrative offices, Supervisor's Office (Cleveland), Ocoee Ranger District (Benton) and Tellico Ranger District (Tellico Plains). The North Zone is divided into two administrative offices, Unaka Ranger District (Greeneville) and Watauga Ranger District (Unicoi). We encourage you to reach out directly to the appropriate office with location-specific questions, such as current conditions, pass sales, or fee requirements.
