Brown Run Road, S.R. 2010 Bridge Replacement Pipeline Relocation Project

Contact(s): Christopher J. Cook

The Forest Service is reviewing a request from PAPCO Inc. and Gas & Oil Management Associates, Inc. for amendments to their existing special use permits to relocate three natural gas pipelines within the Robert Falconer Warrant, Mead Township, Warren County. About 0.1 acre (500 feet long and 10 feet wide) of National Forest System land would be affected. The pipelines are presently attached to a deteriorating bridge that crosses Browns Run.  In late summer of 2018, the three, 3-inch replacement pipelines are expected to be installed (buried together) about 100 feet from the bridge and crossing Browns Run.

Relocation of the pipelines is needed because the bridge, where the pipelines are currently located, will be replaced in the summer of 2019 by PennDOT (Pennsylvania Department of Transportation). The companies are proposing the relocation of the pipelines to avoid any future potential bridge and transportation related issues.

Comments regarding this proposal are being accepted until June 15, 2018. Written comments may be mailed or hand-delivered to Rich Hatfield, District Ranger, Bradford Ranger District, 29 Forest Service Dr., Bradford, PA 16701, or by facsimile 814.362.2761.
