Outdoor Safety & Ethics Home Page

The Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland wants each visitor's experience to be memorable and safe.  Take personal responsibility and think SAFETY when in the woods.  Once you get off the road and into the forest, there are safety concerns to be aware of and prepare for.  Please check our general safety page, as well as our list of day-gear, to help make your visit a great one. Also be aware that the forests are in the midst of a mountain pine beetle epidemic.  It is crucial for visitors to take notice of falling tree hazards.

Visitors are also asked to practice Leave No Trace principles while on the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland to help maintain this abundant ecosystem.
