Motor Vehicle Use Maps will help ensure you are on a road authorized for public use while on the forests and grassland. The map is free, district specific and available electronically.

Road Conditions Report

  • Vehicle use over wet and muddy conditions can cause significant damage to unpaved roads. Because of this, many roads remain closed this time of year until they can sustainably handle vehicle traffic.
  • Roads can range from dry to muddy to snow drifted below 9,500 ft elevation; many roads above this elevation still have packed snow and slushy conditions.
