ANRA Fee Areas
Fee Description | Fee Area Maps
The Arapaho National Recreation Area (ANRA) is a section of National Forest on the Sulphur Ranger District that is designated as a “National Recreation Area” due to its high-use. As legislated by the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act this area has a fee program that is essential to providing quality facilities and services such as boat ramps, campgrounds, picnic areas, trail maintenance, etc within the recreation area.
Fee Description
All passenger vehicles must display a valid ANRA or Interagency Pass on the vehicles dashboard or mirror hangtag when at boat ramps, campgrounds, picnic/day-use areas, trailheads, and fishing access parking lots within the recreation area. Boats and snowmobiles do NOT need a ANRA sticker, but the vehicle that is towing them does.
ANRA fees for vehicle passes are as follows:
- $5/1-Day Pass: Purchase a 1, 3 or 7 day pass in advance online at Recreation.gov OR on an electronic fee machine located within the recreation area.
- $10/3-Day Pass: Purchase a 1, 3 or 7 day pass in advance online at Recreation.gov OR on an electronic fee machine located within the recreation area.
- $15/7-Day Pass: Purchase a 1, 3 or 7 day pass in advance online at Recreation.gov OR on an electronic fee machine located within the recreation area.
- $30/Annual Pass: Can only be purchased at Recreation.gov and should be purchased in advance of arrival. Annual passes are tied to license plate numbers and can also be printed out at home and placed on the dashboard. Please note: annual passes are not sold at the electronic fee machines and the district is no longer exchanging receipts for stickers. We are exploring other options for providing physical annual passes in the future.
- $80/Interagency Pass: (Accepted at most public federal fee areas -- includes Annual, Military, Senior, Access and 4th Grade) Provides access to the ANRA and can be bought in advance online at the USGS online store.
