Hunting: Boulder Ranger District

Please use caution in all flood affected areas. Check our Flood 2013 page for closure details.

The Boulder Ranger District offers many opportunities for hunting in Boulder and northern Gilpin Counties. Portions of Game Management Units 20, 29 and 38 are within district boundaries.

There are occasionally projects and incidents that require closures of some areas frequented by hunters. Please continue to check this page for the latest information. Many of the district's roads close on or before December 1 for wildlife habitat protection and erosion prevention. Foot traffic is allowed on those seasonally closed roads.
