Swett Ranch Homestead: Granary

The granary was built in 1940 for storage of grains that were fed to chickens, pigs, horses, cattle, and sheep. Flour purchased or traded for in Vernal was also stored here. A small square was cut into the door so that cats could enter and deter any rodents that wished to feast on the grains. Notice that the door handle is from an old Hudson Super Six automobile.
