Wendy Jo Haskins promoted to Regional Office in Albuquerque

The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests would like to express a warm congratulations to Deputy Forest Supervisor, Wendy Jo Haskins, who will be leaving the Forest Headquarters in Springerville, Arizona to accept a position at the Regional Office in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Wendy Jo has accepted a position as Director of Ecosystem Analysis and Planning, Watershed and Air Management.


Steve Best, Forest Supervisor for the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests said, “Wendy Jo is a valuable asset to the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests and, she will be greatly missed.”

Wendy Jo launched her career with the U.S. Forest Service on the White River National Forest in Colorado and served in a variety of positions.  She has a degree in Physical Geography from the University of Pittsburgh. Her experience includes engineering, soils science, transportation and forest planning.  She arrived on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests as Deputy Supervisor in September 2015.

Wendy Jo is excited and looking forward to the challenges and opportunities of her new position as Director of Ecosystem Analysis and Planning, Watershed, and Air Management at the Regional Office in Albuquerque.

Wendy Jo and her husband Rick Haskins are expected to arrive in Albuquerque August 19, 2019.
