Don't Feed the Trash Monster!

Last Saturday, October 26th, members of the Black Mesa Employee Association along with
Black Mesa Ranger District recreation volunteers created a garbage monster for Heber/
Overgaard’s Trunk or Treat.  The employees used trash to create the standing garbage
monster along with creating a suit made of garbage for their live human trash monster
to wear.

The theme for the district display this year was “Don’t Feed the Trash Monster.”  Up to a
thousand people lined up during Trunk or Treat to view the trash monsters and learn how to
Leave No Trace.

Something of note: The Black Mesa Ranger District recreation volunteers and employees
removed 43 TONS of TRASH from the Rim Lakes area which includes Woods Canyon to Bear
