Final Environmental Impact Statement and Forest Plan
August 31, 2018 – The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests (ASNF) have issued an updated version of their Land Management Plan which incorporates four administrative changes.
October 25, 2015 - The revised Land Management Plan for the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests was implemented.
September 25, 2015 - Notice of Availability was published in the Federal Register.
September 16, 2015 - Press Release announcing the publication of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests Final Land Management Plan and Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
August 10, 2015 - Forest Supervisor's announcement of the publication of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests Final Land Management Plan and Final EIS.
Information Regarding Appeals
The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests published a Notice of Availability (NOA) in the Federal Register on September 25, 2015. The plan went into effect 30 days after the publication of the NOA on October 25, 2015. The 90-day appeal period began after the publication of the legal notice in the Forests' newspaper of record, the White Mountain Independent, on September 25, 2015. The appeal period ran through December 24, 2015.
Appeals must be consistent with the Optional Appeals Procedures.
On July 13, 2016, the Aapche-Sitgreaves National Forests received a decision on the appeals of the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and Record of Decision (ROD) of their revised Forest Plan.
