Final update on the Hub Point Fire

Multiple Fires on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests

Springerville, AZ—August 15, 2018 The Hub Point Fire was reported on July 27, 2018. Situated two miles south of Pinedale, Navajo County, Arizona on the Lakeside Ranger District in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. At 3986 acres there is minimal smoke production and the fire is not expected to grow outwardly at this point. There will be some smoke as interior islands slowly consume in the high-intensity areas. This should decrease on a day by day basis.

This will be the final update on the Hub Fire.

If heavy smoke is present, those who are more vulnerable should take precautions such as staying inside and avoiding prolonged outside activity. People should keep in mind that smoke impacts can change quickly.
