Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests Timber For Sale Integrated Resource Timber Contract - Stewardship

The Draw Stewardship timber sale is located in Sections 23, 24, 25, and 26, T9N, R23E Navajo County, Arizona; Sections 19, 20, 29, and 30, T9N, R24E Gila and Salt River Base Meridian, Apache County, Arizona.

The Forest Service will receive technical and price proposals at the Lakeside Ranger District Office, 2022 W. White Mountain Blvd., Lakeside, AZ 85929, no later than 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, for an estimated 19,056 Tons of ponderosa pine sawtimber (12.0”-17.9” DBH), 10,413 Tons of ponderosa pine non-saw timber (9.0”-11.9” DBH), and 7,596 Tons of combined softwood (juniper 3.0”-11.9” DRC and ponderosa pine 5.0”-8.9” DBH), that the successful bidder agrees to remove at a fixed rate. The mandatory stewardship item is the backhaul of slash so there is 10 – 15 tons of slash spread along a 106-acre buffer strip. The optional stewardship item is the removal of activity created slash on 1,485 acres.

Bids will be evaluated on a best value basis and bidders must submit a technical proposal describing how the stewardship work will be completed. A unit rate bid for the timber products is required, as well as the per unit rate for completing each stewardship work item. Offers will not be publicly opened or disclosed. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
