Alpine Ranger District

Wallow Area:

  • Ponderosa Pine, Spruce, Fir and Aspen
  • Dead & Down and Dead Standing
  • Dead & Down - except; 1.) Trees or logs that have paint on them, or 2.) Any species prohibited in “Other Conditions,” or 3.) In prohibited areas 
  • Dead Standing - less than 16 inch DBH (Diameter Breast Height) Dead standing aspen may not be cut unless there is no bark on the bole of the tree
  • No Alligator Juniper or Oak permitted
  • $10.00 per cord
  • Two cord minimum
  • Valid for 30 days
  • Available until May, 2018 or until fire restrictions, whichever comes first

Black Mesa Ranger District

Winter-Spring Limited Species:

  • Pinyon Pine, Ponderosa Pine, Shaggy Bark Juniper 
  • Only Dead & Down and Dead Standing
  • 12" Diameter Max for Dead Standing Ponderosa Pine
  • $5.00 per cord
  • Four cord minimum, four cord maximum
  • From date of purchase: 4 weeks per cord or until all fuelwood tags are used, whichever comes first
  • Permit sales/availability January 16 - April 15, or sooner for fire restrictions

Winter-Spring District Wide:

  • All species EXCEPT Alligator Juniper and Oak
  • Only Dead & Down and Dead Standing
  • 12" Diameter Max for Dead Standing Ponderosa Pine

  • All areas EXCEPT Blue Primitive area, along Eagle Creek and within campgrounds
  • $20.00 per cord; two or more are $15.00 per cord
  • From date of purchase: 30 days
  • Permit sales/availability are year-round, but may change due to road conditions and/or fire restrictions

 

Lakeside Ranger District

Winter-Spring:

  • Pinyon Pine, Ponderosa Pine, Shaggy Bark Juniper 
  • Only Dead & Down and Dead Standing
  • 12" Diameter Max for Dead Standing Ponderosa Pine & Pinyon Pine
  • $15.00 per cord
  • Two cord minimum, four cord maximum
  • From date of purchase: 30-days or April 15, whichever comes first
  • Permit sales start January 16, cutting ends April 15, or sooner for fire restrictions
