Beaverhead-Deerlodge NF to Lift Stage 1 Fire Restrictions August 29

Contact(s): Leona Rodreick

Due to the recent precipitation and cooler weather conditions, Stage 1 fire restrictions for the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest will be rescinded Wednesday, August 29.

Although Stage 1 fire restrictions will be lifted, visitors to the Beaverhead-Deerlodge NF are reminded to continue to be careful with fire.  Make sure campfires are completely out and cool to the touch, keep all motorized vehicles on roads as it is easy for hot catalytic converters to start fires in grass and shrubs.  Chainsaws need to have a spark arrestor screen and make sure trailer chains are not dragging.

For additional information on fire restrictions, visit the fire restrictions website at www.firerestrictions.us.
