Road Work to Begin on Birch Creek Road September 15

Contact(s): Leona Rodreick

Beginning Sept. 15, 2010, the Forest Service will be installing culverts and placing aggregate surfacing on Birch Creek Road No. 98 from the Forest boundary located four miles west of the I-15 Apex exit to Dinner Station Campground. Road work will occur Monday through Friday through the end of October.

Travelers can expect road closures weekdays 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and again from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Outside of these closure periods, traffic can expect delays up to 30 minutes.

Travelers are asked to exercise extreme caution when driving the road as sections of the road are narrow with limited sight distance and large construction equipment including haul trucks will be traveling along the road as well.

For more information, contact the Dillon Ranger District at (406) 683-3900.
