Rapid City, SD, Jan. 7, 2020 – The January 2020 meeting of the Black Hills National Forest Advisory Board (NFAB) is scheduled for Wednesday, January 8 at the Forest Service Mystic Ranger District Office, 8221 Mount Rushmore Rd, Rapid City, SD 57702. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. and end no later than 4:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.

The Black Hills National Forest Advisory Board was established, consistent with the Federal Advisory Committee Act of 1972, to provide advice and recommendations to the Black Hills National Forest on a broad range of forest issues such as forest health, travel management, forest monitoring and evaluation, forest plan revisions or amendments, recreation fees, and site-specific projects having forest-wide implications.

Topics on the agenda for the meeting include cave resources and closures, mineral withdrawal and motorized trail strategy recommendations and other Forest updates.
