Emmett, Idaho, June 8, 2018 -- Earlier this spring, the Forest Service conducted a prescribed fire called the Lodgepole Springs Prescribed Fire, located approximately 14 miles north of Crouch along National Forest System (NFS) road 671.

There continues to be some residual smokes visible from the project’s interior, but currently they pose no threat to crossing containment lines. The area is being regularly monitored by fire personnel.

The area burned was approximately 1,250 acres, with the objective to improve forest vegetation and wildlife habitat conditions.
