Wild and Scenic River Eligibility Evaluation Process
As a part of developing a revised plan, the Carson NF is evaluating rivers for their eligibility for Wild and Scenic designation as required under Chapter 80 of the 2012 Planning Rule Directives. The evaluation process was released in April 2017, and has been revised based on public feedback. The second revised draft of the evaluation released in January of 2018 has been revised based on public feedback. The updated evaluation, including reposes to public comments is now available. The evaluation will not be finalized until a Record of Decision is signed, (target date of winter 2020).
