Taos, NM (November 22, 2017) - For Immediate Release. The public is invited to attend an Open House to ask questions about the Forest Plan Revision process on the Carson National Forest.  The Open House is Wednesday, December 13 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the Carson National Forest Supervisor’s Office in Taos, NM, at 208 Cruz Alta Road.

This will be an informal opportunity for the public to learn about the forest planning process, talk with Forest Plan Revision team members, and review the preliminary version of the draft forest plan.  Forest personnel will be on hand to answer questions about where the forest is in the planning process, issues that will be addressed by the plan, and how our communities can be involved in the process.

The Carson National Forest is revising its current forest plan to address needed management changes so that the forest can sustain forest resources and benefits for present day use and future generations.  In early December the forest will release a complete preliminary draft proposed plan, including alternatives and management areas.
