Favorite Place: Not one favorite place but ALL the lakes on the Forest general. I have enjoyed kayaking on all of the ones I have tried so far.

Favorite Place: Webster Lake Trail

Seven miles of trail located eight miles south of Blackduck near the Webster Lake Campground, which is open until mid-October. The area is predominantly balsam fir.

Favorite Place: Gilstand Fishing Pier. “I love to take my kids fishing there. It is so close to home, but still a fun little afternoon/evening getaway.”

Autumn is absolutely my favorite month, and while sites like Stony Point campground and Shingobee Hills are my preferred fall color spots, it’s the cranberry bogs on the Chippewa National Forest that have become my favorite places.
