Mountainair Ranger District Firewood Permits

Mountainair, NM – April 27, 2019:  Mountainair Ranger District is currently selling firewood permits.  

ATTENTION: FUELWOOD PERMITS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 29th. They will resume on Thursday, May 30th. 

Decked Ponderosa Pine on Forest Road 321 near Tajique:  $5.00 a cord, 4 cords minimum, 8 cords maximum.  30 days will be allowed for removal of firewood, no extensions will be given.  This is the Isleta Fuelwood Area.

PERMITS WILL BE SOLD IN PERSON ONLY.  PERMIT HOLDER MUST BE ON SITE WHEN REMOVING FUELWOOD.  

Payment:  Credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover), check or cash.

Permits will be sold at the Mountainair Ranger District on a first-come, first-served basis.

There will be no extensions or refunds regardless of weather, fire closures etc.

Office hours for firewood sales:  Monday - Friday 8:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., 12:30 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
