Visitors who choose to recreate on these public lands find more than 150,000 miles of trails, 10,000 developed recreation sites, 57,000 miles of streams, 122 alpine ski areas, 338,000 heritage sites, and specially designated sites that include 9,100 miles of byways, 22 recreation areas, 11 scenic areas, 439 wilderness areas, 122 wild and scenic rivers, nine monuments, and one preserve.   • Sandia Annual Amenity Pass is valid for fee sites on the Sandia Ranger District. The cost of this pass is $30.00 per year. It is valid for a full year from the date of purchase, and expires the end of the month in which it was purchased. For more information contact the Sandia Ranger District at 505.281.3304.
     
  • The America the Beautiful Passes are your ticket to over 2000 recreation sites nationwide. Save time and money by getting your pass and help protect these national treasures for generations to come. Honored nationwide at National Park Service, Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation sites charging day-use or entrance fees. The Cibola honors all types of America the Beautiful passes.
     
  • Every Kid Outdoors 4th Grade Pass & 5th Grade Voucher. As part of the nation's commitment to ensure every American has the opportunity to visit and enjoy our wildlife, resources, and history, the Every Kid Outdoors initiative allows fourth graders nationwide to obtain a pass for free entry, for the fourth grader and their family, to more than 2,000 federally managed lands and waters, nationwide, for an entire year. The USDA Forest Service has expanded its Every Kid Outdoors program to include fifth-grade students who hold a Fifth Grade Voucher downloaded from the National Park Service Every Kid Outdoors website. Vouchers for the 2020-2021 school year are available for download now through August 31, 2021.   • “Great Stocking Stuffer”: Digital day use passes are available for online purchase through Recreation.gov. The pass can be used for all developed recreation sites that charge a day use fee on the Sandia and Black Kettle Ranger Districts.
