Start Date:  April 7, 2021 Approx. Start Time: 1500 Size: .4 acres      


Location:  Oak Flat area of the Sandia Ranger District, off Forest Service Road 602 on the Cibola National Forest.
Cause:  Under investigation.
Vegetation:  Pinyon, Juniper and Ponderosa Pine.
Resources on Scene: 2 Forest Service engines, 2 Bernalillo County engines and misc. overhead.
Smoke: Likely to be visible within a 10-15-miles radius of the Oak Flat Fire.


Additional Information:

Smoke from fire rises up and away during the daytime, but in the evenings, smoke can pool back down in canyons, drainages, and basins.
