ChequamegLogging OPSon-Nicolet National Forest Timber Sale Program

The Forest Service is strongly committed to the management of the National Forests in an environmentally sound manner. The agency's top priority is to maintain and improve the health, diversity, and productivity of forest ecosystems for the enjoyment of current and future generations. Forest management includes guidance, administration, and support of the agency's forest products management and sales programs. 

The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest's Timber Sale Program Announcement for Fiscal Year 2018 represents the various tracts of timber planned to be offered for sale on the Chequamegon-Nicolet Natioanl Forest by the Forest Servcie for this fiscal year, October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018. The planned sale program identifeis approximately 95 million board feet (MMBF) or 194,000 cords of timber volume representing a mix of species and products that will be available across the Forest. 

In addition, through the Good Neighbor Authority Agreement signed between the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest and the State of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Department of Natual Resources, Division of Forestry, plans to offer approximately 25 MMBF  ir 51,000 cords of National Forest timber volume. For more information on these sales please click here.
