Glidden, Wis., May 7, 2021—Starting next week, the Glidden office of the Great Divide Ranger District on the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest will operate under reduced summer hours. Customer service will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays only, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Staff at U.S. Forest Service offices in Hayward and Park Falls are available to provide customer service Monday through Friday. The David R. Obey Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center is open for limited services Monday through Saturday. The forest recommends calling ahead to confirm hours and available services.

“This temporary change allows us to reassign staff and provide increased support for weekend services at the visitor center,” said District Ranger Mike Martin. “As one big forest, we work together to optimize access and public services.”
