- As part of the Forest Plan revision process, the Forest Service must evaluate all lands possessing wilderness characteristics for potential recommendation to Congress for designation as wilderness. This report describes the process for evaluating areas and provides summary information about the 15 potential wilderness areas that were carried forward through the evaluation process.
