Fire Initial Attack Maps

The following are Initial Attack (IA) maps that are used by fire personnel who are first to arrive at an incident on the Coconino National Forest.  All wildland fires that are controlled by suppression forces undergo initial attack.  The kind and number of resources responding to initial attack varies depending upon fire danger, fuel type, values to be protected, and other factors.

Generally, initial attack involves a small number of resources since the incident size is usually small.
