Map of the Blue Ridge emergency closure, June 6, 2016Clints Well, Arizona — Approximately 120 firefighters are working on the Reservoir Fire located at C.C. Cragin (aka Blue Ridge) Reservoir. The fire is under investigation and began yesterday (June 6, 2016) on land south of the reservoir boat ramp.

Current estimates put the fire at approximately 138 acres. Containment projections will be available after today’s operational period. There are several private residences north of the fire, but no evacuation orders have been issued at this time.

Forest Road 751, the main forest road that leads into the reservoir, remains closed to vehicles at Rock Crossing Campground for public safety as firefighting equipment and personnel are using the road. Rock Crossing Campground is still open. See closure details.

Resources on scene include two Type 1 crews, two Type 2 crews, five wildland engines, two water tenders, one patrol unit, one Fuels crew, one dozer and air resources. A boat is being used to shuttle firefighting personnel across the reservoir due to the steep topography in the area and the fire’s location.
