Interagency 4th Grade Pass

Benefits
- Available to U.S. 4th graders (including home-schooled and free-choice learners 10 years of age) who present a valid Every Kid Outdoors paper pass.
- Valid for the duration of the 4th grade school year through the following summer (September -- August).
- Honored nationwide at all Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and US Fish & Wildlife Service sites charging entrance or standard amenity fees.
- Admits pass holder and any accompanying passengers in a private non-commercial vehicle.
- At per-person fee areas, admits pass holder and up to 3 people who are 16 and older (for a maximum of four people). Anyone 15 and younger is free of charge.

Paper passes can be obtained by visiting the Every Kid Outdoors website.
- Digital versions of the paper pass (such as on smart phones or tablets) will not be accepted to exchange for an Annual 4th Grade Pass.

Oral Interpretation Service is available in Washington and Oregon. The service is provided in person or over the phone when interacting with a Forest Service representative.
Other Important Information
Validation
- Obtain Paper Voucher from Every Kid Outdoors web site.
- Exchange Paper Voucher at Forest Office for 4th Grade Pass. (Digital version of the Paper Voucher, such as on a smart phone or tablet will not be accepted to exchange for a 4th Grade Pass.)
- Valid September through August of the student's fourth grade year.
- Pass is not valid for use until signed by student. Student must print their name on the back of the pass at time of issuance.
Admittance
- Admits pass holder and any accompanying passengers in a private non-commercial vehicle.
- At per-person fee areas, admits pass holder and up to 3 persons. Persons 15 and younger are admitted free of charge.
Display
- At staffed sites, show your pass to the booth attendant.
- At unstaffed sites, use hangtag to display pass from rear-view mirror. Hangtags are available at Forest Service offices.
- At per-person sites, present pass upon request.
Other Important Details
- Interagency 4th Grade Passes are nontransferable.
- The Interagency 4th Grade Pass belongs to the signer only and s/he must be present for the pass to be used. Photo identification may be requested to verify pass ownership.
- Interagency 4th Grade Passes do NOT cover expanded amenity fees or special recreation permits.

Decals
- Decals for open topped vehicles/motorcycles are not available.
How to get this pass
- Go to Every Kid Outdoors web site and print out Paper Voucher.
- Visit a Forest Service office in the Pacific Northwest to exchange Paper Voucher for 4th Grade Pass.
