Palisades Ranger District looking for Youth Conservation Corp members!

 

IDAHO FALLS, Id—Are you interested in getting paid to work outdoors? Here’s your chance! The Palisades Ranger District is now taking applications for Youth Conservation Corp summer employment.  Selected applicants work full time during the summer from the beginning of June through mid-August. The start date may vary depending on school end dates.  Pay is set at $10.00 per hour.

 

To qualify, applicants must be a United States Citizen or eligible to work in the United States and be 17 to 18 years old. Forest Service housing is not available.  Crews will complete a variety of jobs ranging from trail maintenance and construction to noxious weed control. Selected applicants will need to travel to the Snake River Administrative site in Swan Valley, Idaho, Monday-Thursday and work four 10-hour days.  Transportation to various job sites will be provided by the Forest Service from Swan Valley.
