El Dorado County Resource Advisory Committee Virtual Meeting on April 7, 2021 – RAC proposal deadline approaching soon

The El Dorado County Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) will hold a virtual meeting on Wednesday, April 7 from 4-6 p.m. on Microsoft Teams. The RAC is an advisory committee that is authorized under the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act (SRS) to recommend funding for eligible projects that benefit federal lands in El Dorado County.

Applicants who are preparing proposals will have an opportunity to ask questions about the RAC grant application process at the April 7 meeting. The deadline for proposals for the current grant cycle is April 16, 2021 (by 4:30 pm). Updates on outreach activities and additional funding for this grant cycle will also be provided.

RAC grant application forms, instructions, project evaluation criteria, and other information are found on the El Dorado County RAC website here. A letter of support from the local District Ranger or other federal land manager is required with the application.

Completed project application package should be submitted electronically to:  SM.FS.ElDoradoRAC@usda.gov .
