Application Dates

  • No applications will be accepted before September 1.
  • Drawings will be held the fifth (5th) Friday prior to the first scheduled Family Hunt.
  • Applications must be received by 11:00 am on the morning of the drawing. See application for where to send completed applications.
  • The drawing will be held at 3:00 pm EST.

 

More Information

  • Youth must be 8 - 15 years old to hunt.
  • Applicants must be present the day of the drawing to receive a zone tag to hunt any of the Juniper Creek WMA Family Deer Hunts. A picture ID must be presented when the zone tag is issued.
  • There will be only one zone tag allowed per individual unless the following exception occurs:
    • If, after the initial drawing, there are any zone tags remaining, those present may request to be considered for a second tag. A maximum of two zone tags per individual is allowed.
  • As names are drawn for the Family Deer Hunt, that individual will select one of the scheduled hunts above and one of the seven (7) zones that they wish to hunt.
    • Once a zone has been selected, there will be no opportunity to change to another zone.
  • There will be only 5 zone tags issued for each of the scheduled Family Deer Hunts
  • If an individual is unable to use the tag issued, please return the tag to the above address for re-issuance.
    • Any tags available for re-issuance will be re-issued on a first come basis at the Apalachicola Ranger District office in Bristol between the hours of 2:30 and 4:30 pm, EST on the Thursday preceding the scheduled hunt. Interested individuals may call 850-643-2282 to find out the availability of any returned tags.

 

Ocala Designated Hunt Camps

Our designated hunt camps require a special use permit, which can be purchased at either the Lake George Ranger District Station or the Seminole Ranger District.

 

Osceola Hunt Camps

Our designated hunt camps require a special use permit, which can be purchased at the Osceola Ranger District.
