Industrial Fire Precaution Levels (IFPL) & Public Use Restriction Definitions
The Forest Service uses a four-level industrial regulation system to help prevent wildfires by regulating work activities in the forest. This includes personal use firewood cutting.
As fire danger increases public use restrictions may be put in place across the forest to reduce the risk of a wildfire.
Information on the current IFPL or current restrictions may be obtained by calling the Lakeview Interagency Fire Center at 541-947-6259 or online at: http://www.scofmp.org/lifc.shtml.
