Winema National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan Amendment 2
The Winema National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan Amendment 2
This amendment (May 21, 1991) made two changes in management direction:
Forestwide Standards and Guidelines: Wildlife Tree (Snag) Habitat
Added the following paragraph to section 4-19, page 4-50:
"An average of two hard snags per acre greater than or equal to 10 inches DBH will be maintained in the feeding area adjacent to areas designated as pileated woodpecker primary breeding areas."
Management Area 7 - Old Growth Ecosystems Direction
Corrected an error in the Wildlife and Fish Standards and Guidelines, paragraph 1.B.4 on page 4-133, to the following wording:
"An additional 300-acre feeding area shall be provided in adjacent management areas. Refer to forestwide standard and guideline 4-19 on page 4-50 for specific direction."
