Monitoring

The National Forest Management Act requires monitoring of the implementation of National Forest Land and Resource Management Plans (LRMPs). The Fremont and Winema National Forest LRMPs each include formal monitoring plans.

Each year, depending upon funding, Forest management team members and natural resource specialists examine projects to gather and evaluate data to use to create a monitoring report. Typically, the report for any given fiscal year (October 1 through September 30) will be completed by the end of the following fiscal year (e.g. the 2003 report was completed in September 2004).

Because the requirements for natural resource monitoring documentation can be diverse, there are several types of documents listed in addition to formal Forest-level LRMP Monitoring Reports.

As time and workload allow, the Forest will convert remaining individual Fremont and Winema monitoring documents from paper to electronic format. Links will be added to this page as documents become available.

Unfortunately, in cleanup after the recent web migration, a number of broken links have been identified. Those links will either be repaired or removed as soon as there is time to do so.
