Temporary Closure on Portion of Forest Road 25

Vancouver, Wash., (May 23, 2024)— Forest Road 25, within the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District, will be temporarily closed to motorized vehicle traffic between mileposts 13.7-15 (see map). The closure will last for approximately three weeks due to timber harvest and commercial hauling traffic.  The closure, to allow for safe timber harvest operations, is schedule from May 28, 2024, until June 21, 2024, but may end sooner if the harvest is completed.  The closure area is located northeast of Mount St. Helens.

This temporary closure is needed to complete project work and ensure a safe work environment for everyone. Barricades will be erected at the closed section of road.  For your safety, visitors are asked to respect closures and to recreate in other areas during closure periods.
