Forest Plan Revision Technical Meeting

Silver City, NM, December 1, 2017—For Immediate Release. The Gila National Forest is continuing to engage folks that have an interest in the Forest Plan Revision process.

There will be a technical meeting on the relationship between the forest and the local economy, on December 13 from 9am - 1pm at the Grant County Conference Center, 3031 Highway 180 East, Silver City, NM. Technical meetings are scheduled for an extended period during the day to encourage participation by interested local governments, state/federal agencies, non-governmental organizations, and members of the public with more time for discussion on topics and get into the details more. The purpose of these technical meetings is to help stakeholders and the community better understand the issues at play in Plan Revision and to help the Gila National Forest staff be aware of the data/information available and better understand the range of perspectives on these issues.
