Gila National Forest offices and Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument closed on December 5, 2018 for National Day of Mourning Honoring President George H. W. Bush

Silver City, NM, December 3, 2018—The offices of the Gila National Forest, and the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument and Gila Visitor Center will be closed Wednesday, December 5, 2018, for the National Day of Mourning honoring President George H. W. Bush.

Superintendent Kevin Tillman announced that the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument will be formally closed to the public.

The offices and the Monument will resume their normal hours on Thursday, December 6, 2018. The forest will still be available, as usual, to all of our visitors.
