What’s next ? The time period for filing an Interested Persons Request has concluded on November 20, 2023. The GMUG planning team will begin preperations for objection resolution meetings. The objection resolution meetings will be a hybrid format and will be facilitated by the National Forest Foundation. Objections and comments submitted during previous comment and objection periods are viewable in the Reading Room.

Geospatial data can be viewed in the ArcGIS Online (AGOL) Interactive Web Map GMUG Forest Plan Revision - Public Gallery. Interactive Web Maps (Story Maps) are available for Management Areas, Recreation Opportunity Spectrum (ROS) settings, and the Wilderness and Wild and Scenic River processes.  PDF maps and downloadable shapefiles are also available here.

Updated 9/7/2023 Public Engagement: The GMUG National Forests and the National Forest Foundation co-hosted two virtual public webinars and one in-person presentation to provide orientation and an overview of the revised Forest Plan and associated documents. These sessions provided an opportunity for participants to ask questions about plan revision.  Recordings of the virtual webinars are available by clicking on the links below.
