In 2006, the GMUG put a multi-year plan revision effort on hold until the Colorado Roadless Areas were defined and a final planning rule was established for the Forest Service. The GMUG’s prior planning effort was extensive, and the public contributed: between February 2002 and November 2003, 42 public meetings were held throughout the GMUG, attended by 1035 individuals. The planning team will start with this as a springboard for the current process, but incorporate new science, requirements, and your input.
