Forest Service Offices Close for Day of Remembrance

Delta, Colorado, Jan. 8, 2025 — The Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison (GMUG) National Forests announce the closure of all offices following a presidential Executive Order Thursday, Jan. 9, in remembrance of former President Carter. The order states, all executive departments and agencies of the federal government shall be closed as a mark of respect for James Earl Carter, Jr., the 39th President of the United States.
Please plan accordingly for any of your GMUG National Forest needs. Offices will resume regular business hours Friday, Jan. 10.
