Forest Service to host a virtual Q&A on the plans for a vegetation management project on Ewing Mountain

Marion, VA, May 7, 2021— The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service is holding a virtual question-and-answer session to provide information about the proposed Ewing Mountain Project. The project goal is to improve wildlife habitat in the Ewing Mountain area of Grayson, Wythe, and Carroll Counties through timber harvest and thinning activities. The Q&A session will be held virtually on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 2 pm to 3 pm.

Forest leadership and project managers will present information and answer questions about the project proposal. If you have specific project questions that you would like addressed, please submit them to Chris Brown at 540-953-3570 or by noon Friday, May 14. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions as they arise during the meeting.
