Landscape and Watershed Assessments

Little Belt Landscape Assessment- The Lewis and Clark National Forest has started the process to assess the current conditions, departure from desired conditions and potential future management opportunities within the Little Belt Mountain Range. An interdisciplinary team has completed a preliminary  mid-scale analysis report. Additional information regarding this process, public dialog sessions, results and management opportunities will be posted on this page as they  become available.

Castle Mountains Landscape Assessment - A landscape level analysis completed to assess the current and desired conditions across the Castle Moutains. An Interdisciplinary Team recommendation of the potential future management opportunities for forest and watershed restoration in the Castle Mountains has been completed.  Development of a project proposal within opportunity areas continues and information can be found on the forest projects webpage.
