Open Houses Scheduled to Meet New Forest Supervisor

The Inyo National Forest is scheduling two outdoor open houses so that community members can meet Tammy Randall-Parker, the new Forest Supervisor.

The first is scheduled for Tuesday, May 22 from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center 2500 Hwy. 203, at the amphitheater (Shady Rest).

The second is scheduled for Wednesday, May 30 from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Forest Supervisors Office in Bishop, 351 Pacu Lane, on the outdoor lawn. Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite comfortable lawn chair.

These open houses are intended to be informal.  Tammy will share a little bit about her background and her goals for managing the Inyo National Forest. This will be followed by group discussions to help Tammy hear from interested stakeholders about the successes and issues that they see on the forest. Attendees are welcome to attend for all or part of the open houses.

“I am in awe of the incredible landscapes I have seen since I have been here, said Tammy Randall-Parker, Forest Supervisor. “ I am encouraged by the passionate and committed community, partners, and stakeholders who have already reached out to me and I want to continue the collaborative discussions.”
