Road Conditions

Forest road conditions on the Idaho Panhandle National Forests are extremely unpredictable and varying. The public can expect to experience a variety of challenging conditions including muddy roads with potholes, road bed deterioration, landslides, soft shoulders, blown down trees, icy conditions and deep snow. Though forest roads are open to the public at this time, the public is responsible for the safe and responsible operation of their motorized vehicle so as to not contribute to resource damage, and potential harm to themselves or others.
