North Kaibab Recreation Invites You to Visit Campground Programs

Fredonia, Ariz., August 3, 2018 — For Immediate Release. North Kaibab Recreation invites forest visitors to stop by and visit the following campground programs.

DeMotte Campground

  • Monday, August 6, 8:00 pm – Learn the Naked-Headed Truth about California Condors, which were brought back from the brink of extinction and now reside in the geologic wonders surrounding us.
  • Wednesday, August 9, 8:00 pm – Learn about The Secret Life of Trees. Everything you always wanted to know, but were afraid to ask.
  • Thursday, August 13, 8:00 pm – Compete for prizes against other campers armed only with your trivial knowledge of Science and Nature in a Jeopardy format.
  • Monday, August 20, 8:00 pm – Learn the story of a wildfire that devoured more than three-million acres in the Rockies in 1910. Come watch the American Experience episode telling the creation of the Forest Service.

Jacob Lake Campground

  • Wednesday, August 8, 8:00 pm – Learn the story of a wildfire that devoured more than three-million acres in the Rockies in 1910. Come watch the American Experience episode telling the creation of the Forest Service.
  • Thursday, August 16, 8:00 pm – Learn the Naked-Headed Truth about California Condors, which were brought back from the brink of extinction and now reside in the geologic wonders surrounding us.

All programs are held in the campground amphitheaters and are weather permitting.
