Recreation Update 6/3/2020

All recreation sites and rentals cabins are open. Lookout rentals will open as scheduled.  For information on recreation opportunities see our Forest Recreation webpage.

Ensure that you are following social distancing guidelines when you are in parking areas and on the trail. We’re asking our visitors to respect social distancing guidelines when recreation. While we encourage you to go outside and enjoy the fresh air and nice weather, we ask that you please take extra steps to do so safely.

  • We still have wet, muddy, and snowy conditions on trails and roads – these should be considered closed until conditions improve. Waiting for these trail and road systems to dry out and open up will mean that our road crews, trail crews, and partners organization don’t have to spend addition time on reparative maintenance

RESERVATIONS: Those with existing campsite, cabin rental and lookout reservations through will be notified via email and/or text message if there are any changes. Please be aware that rentals and lookouts will not be cleaned in between use. As in previous years, it is up to the individual renters to bring their own cleaning supplies, and to clean before and after use of the site.
