Comments

Eagle Lake Ranger District:

Snowmobiling conditions are good with lots of snow still. No grooming occurred this week because of warm temperatures. Trails are still in pretty good conditions. Use caution around washouts and other hazards.

Hat Creek Ranger District: Ashpan/ Battle Creek is groomed 50 miles, A-1 through A-10. The warm weather is starting to affect the quality of snow. Latour is groomed 35 miles, L1, L2, L5. There is still plenty of snow, although some trails are starting to show signs of warm weather.  Remember to use caution around washouts and other hazards. Ride “right”, enjoy the snow, and watch for other users.

Almanor Ranger District:

No grooming will occur this week to do high temperatures.

Lassen National Forest lies at the Crossroads of California, where the granite of the Sierra Nevada, the lava of the Cascades and the Modoc Plateau, and the sagebrush of the Great Basin meet. The Forest is managed for recreational access as well as timber and firewood, forage for livestock, water, minerals, and other natural resources.
