Missoula Ranger District:

• Bighorn Campground: Open year-round, weather dependent | Fees charged early May- late September
• Bitterroot Flat Campground: Open year-round weather dependent | Fees charged early May- late September
• Dalles Campground: Closed for season. Opens May 6, 2022. 
• Fort Fizzle Picnic Area: Opens May 13, 2022.
• Grizzly Campground: Closed for season. Opens May 6, 2022 
• Harry's Flat Campground: Closed for season. Opens May 6, 2022.
• Hogback Homestead: Open April 1- Nov. 30
• Lee Creek Campground:Closed for season. Opens May 20, 2022. 
• Lolo Creek Campground: Closed for season. Opens May 13, 2022.
• Morgan Case Homestead Cabin: Open year-round
• Norton Campground: Closed for season. Opens May 6, 2022. 
• Pattee Canyon Picnic Area: Open July 1 through October 3, 2021
• Rock Creek Area: Designated dispersed sites will be available for public use
• Siria Campground: Open year-round weather dependent | Fees charged early May-late September
• West Fork Butte Lookout: Open May 27, 2022 - April 1 2023.

• Kreis Pond Campground: Opens April 1-December, $10 camping fee

Plains/Thompson Falls Ranger District

• Bend Guard Station: Open year-round
• Big Hole Lookout: Closed for the season. Opens June 11, 2022. Visit Recreation.gov for reservations. 
• Cascade Campground: Closed for the season. Open May 4, 2022. 
• Clark Memorial Campground: Closed for the season. Opens May 19, 2022. 
• Copper King Campground: Closed for the season. Opens May 12, 2022. 
• Cougar Peak Lookout: Closed for the season. Opens June 18, 2022. Visit Recreation.gov for reservations. 
• Fishtrap Campground: Open year long, snow dependent. No reservations are taken. The campground is first -come, first-served.
• Goldrush Campground: Open year long, snow dependent. No reservations are taken. The campground is first-come, first-served.
• Muchwater Dispersed Recreation Area: Open
• West Fork Fishtrap: Closed for the season. Opens May 11, 2022. 

Seeley Lake Ranger District

• Big Larch Campground: Open year-round. Snow may limit access. Fees for camping begin Friday, May 27. 
• Big Larch Dock: Open and plowed to parking area. 
• Double Arrow Lookout: Closed in 2022 for renovations using funding from the Great American Outdoors Act!
• Lake Alva: 
  • Individual Sites (Loop A) Open year-round, snow limits access. Fees for camping begin on Friday, May 27.
  • Individual Sites (Loop B) closed for season. Opens Friday, May 27 at 9 a.m. Fees for Camping Start Friday, May 27.
• Lakeside Campground:  Opens Friday, May 27 at 9 a.m.
• Riverpoint Campground: Opens Friday, May 27 at 9 a.m.Visit Recreation.gov for reservations. 
• Seeley Lake Campground: Opens Friday, May 27 at 9 a.m.
• Monture Creek Campground: Open year-round with no-fees, no water available and snow limits access during fall-spring months.
• All other campgrounds on the Seeley Lake Ranger District including Big Nelson, Lake Inez, Rainy Lake and Hidden Lake Campgrounds: Open year-round, limited to no services after Labor Day. Not plowed during winter.

Seeley Lake Group Camping Sites:

• Big Larch Group Sites A and B: Closed.Opens Friday, May 27 at 9 a.m.
• Lake Alva Group Site: Group sites are closed for 2022 and 2023 due to hazardous site conditions
• Lake Inez Point 6 Group Site: Closed. Opens Friday, May 27 at 9 a.m.
• Lakeside Group Site 3: Closed. Opens Friday, May 27 at 9 a.m.

Superior Ranger District

• Big Creek Campground: Open. 
• Cabin City Campground:  Closed for the season. Opens May 25, 2022.
• Deer Creek Campground: Open year long, snow dependent. The campground is first come, first served. 
• Little Joe Campground: Open.
• Loge Trail and Picnic Area: Closed for the season. 
• Murphy Creek Day-Use Area and Trail: Open year-round, weather dependent.
• Peninsula Dispersed Recreation Area: Open.
• Savenac: Visit Recreation.gov for reservations, see availability below. 
  • Savenac Visitor Center: Open from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, hours and days vary. Call Superior Ranger District for current operating hours. 406-822-4233.
  • Savenac Bunkhouse: Closed for the season for repairs. Open for public reservation on August 2, 2022.
  • Savenac West Cottage: Closed May 16-August 2, 2022 for repairs. Open for public reservation on August 2, 2022. 
  • Savenac East Cottage: Closed for the season for repairs. Open for public reservation on August 2, 2022.
  • Savenac Cookhouse: Closed May 16-August 2, 2022 for repairs. Open for public reservation on August 2, 2022.
• Sloway Campground: Closed for the season. Opens on May 24, 2022.
• Quartz Flat Campground: Closed for the season. Opens on May 23, 2022. Loop A availabile for reservation on Recreation.gov.
• Thompson Peak Lookout: Closed for the season. Opens May 20, 2022. Visit Recreation.gov for reservations. 
• Trout Creek Campground: Open year long, snow dependent. Fees charged May – September (Last Day September 22, 2021). The campground is first come, first served. Off-season: open free of charge with limited services.
• Up Up Lookout: Closed for the season. Opens June 17, 2022. Visit Recreation.gov for reservations.
